Jai-Alai Simulation Statistics

Below are Jai-Alai simulation statistics from Steve M’s Jai-Alai Game Simulation, a modern and very flexible Excel-based simulation programmed in Visual Basic. The statistics from the game simulation output are compared in tables and show the Win percentages and frequencies of Quinielas and Exactas for 7-point games versus 9-point games. One-million games were simulated for each of the Spec 7 and Spec 9 scenarios. Scroll down for Trifecta statistics at the bottom of this page.

Jai-alai Exacta Frequency based on 1-million games of simulated results assuming all teams are of equal abilities. Also assumes no server or receiver advantage.

Here are trifecta statistics from 20-million games of Jai-Alai simulated by computer program from the late 1980’s using Turbo Pascal which was run in MS-DOS. This Jai-Alai simulation was created for Steve M. by a DeVry Institute of Technology Electrical Engineering graduate who worked at GE Medical Systems in Ft. Lauderdale (Steve M’s brother). This particular simulation was created for 7-point singles games assuming a server advantage in singles of 3% over the receiving singles player. The 3% server advantage was provided to Steve M. from a professional Jai-Alai systems player who had employed an individual to chart the serving advantage/disadvantages in singles and doubles games for thousands of match-ups in Jai-Alai games in the early 1980’s in the northeast. Note that this simulation was quite advanced for its time back in the late 1980’s and also had a 9-point game option along with a singles or doubles simulation game option.

The 7-point game trifecta simulation output shows frequency of trifecta boxes and also the easiest straight trifecta in each box combination along with the frequency of that combination. This information would have been highly lucrative had it been available in the late 1970’s when trifecta wagers were first offered.
