A 2021 record Jai-5 Jackpot of well over $5,000 awaits a single winning ticket holder for the start of Magic City Jai-Alai’s 7th week of the initial 10-week meet prior to the start of the 2021 regular Magic City Jai-Alai season which starts on May 1. During this initial 10-week short meet, there are 3-performances a week on Saturday through Monday.
The Jai-5 wager is a $1.00 Pick 5 bet where a bettor must select the winner of games 3-7 and be the ONLY winning ticket with all five winners correctly selected. This wager was hit several times early in the 10-week meet, but has now gone 8-consecutive performances without a single Jackpot winner. Should a lucky bettor hit all five winners correctly and be the ONLY winning ticket, they will score for over $5,000 this week. SayHiLi estimates that one lucky Jackpot winner at the Saturday, March 20th performance could bring home over $5,500 and perhaps even closer to $6,000!
The Magic City Jai-5 wager debuted on August 14, 2019 about 6-weeks after the 2019 meet started on July 3. The Jai-5 went a record 12-performances in a row without a single Jackpot winner in it’s debut season before the record Jai-5 payoff was nailed for $12,200 by one lucky winner. This record payoff still stands as the top payoff at Magic City to this day. Click Here to see the complete Magic City Jai-5 Payoff History.
There were two different times in 2020 where Jai-5 bettors went 10-consecutive performances without a single Jackpot winner. Those lengthy Jai-5 droughts resulted in payoffs of $6,761 and $4,996. Needless to say, the Magic City Jai-5 is on the verge of another big score soon for some lucky winner based on Jai-5 history. The lucky Jai-5 winner could be YOU, but it doesn’t Pay if you don’t Play!
Currently the Jai-5 jackpot carryover is at $3,562.80 however it’s expected the Jai-5 wagers for Saturday will be in excess of $2,500 and since 80% of that amount wagered gets added to the jackpot carryover for a single winning ticket, that means an additional $2,000 added to the $3,562.80 which means over $5,500 for the Only winning ticket holder on Saturday. Should there be no single winning ticket with all five winners correct, there’s a consolation payoff for tickets with the most winners that share in half of the 80% of what’s wagered for the day while the other half gets added to the jackpot carryover.
So remember this week, if you don’t Try, you can’t hit the Jai!
