Championship Series Jai-Alai H2H – Week 3 Update

Week 3 of Championship Series Jai-Alai H2H matches started with 4 of the 6 doubles matches going 3 sets. Carballo-Kubala beat Inaki-Roque who subbed for Ikeda-Bradley 6-2, 3-6, 6-1. Jeden-Nicolas improved to 3-0 by beating Flores-Aratz 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 while Correa-Manny improved to 2-0 with a win over Joseph-Manu 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. CRB-Douglas came back after a first set loss to Diaz-Goixerri to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3. Diaz-Goixerri played again with a straight set win over Jairo-Ben 6-1, 6-0. Robin-Julen picked up a win in straight sets over Bueno-Benny 6-5, 6-3.

In Group I singles on Monday, Inaki handed Aratz his third loss 6-3, 6-3. Goixerri improved to 4-0 with a win over Benny 6-1, 6-2. Jairo got his first win by beating Julen 6-3, 6-2. Manny was victorious over Carballo who subbed for Manu with a win in straight sets 6-5, 6-1. Nicolas played well against Inaki to win in 3 sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-5. The final match on Monday featured Benny and Douglas. Benny took the first set 6-5, then Douglas won the second set 6-1. The third set ended with Benny up 4-1, then down 5-4 and then Benny won 6-5 for his first win of the season.

In Group II singles on Tuesday, Ikeda improved to 4-0 with victories over Kubala 5-6, 6-2, 6-3 and RonRon 6-4, 6-4. Carballo also picked up two wins by beating Ben 6-2, 6-5 and Bradley 6-5, 6-5. Kubala outlasted Correa in 3 sets 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 while Ben finished the day with a win over Bueno 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Championship Series Jai-Alai H2H matches begins at 5pm EST with Doubles on Sundays, Singles Group I on Mondays and Singles Group II on Tuesdays. Sunday, May 15, will feature 7 doubles matches.

Sunday’s matches are open to the public plus there is a new promotion “H2Hx10” for those in attendance. All you have to do is pick the winner of each match and the number of sets (either 2 or 3). If you get both right, you win $10. This is open for all matches throughout the evening. Each match is individual, so if you pick incorrectly, you still have a chance in the remaining matches.
